We are immensely proud to announce that TyreSafe has been awarded the globally prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award for the second time since our founding in 2006. This highly coveted accolade is a testament to TyreSafe’s outstanding leadership in tyre safety, recognising and reinforcing our position on the global road safety stage. The Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards are recognised worldwide as the highest honours for exceptional achievements in road safety. Winning this award for a second time marks a monumental milestone for TyreSafe, reflecting nearly two decades of dedication and pioneering work to ensure road users are not harmed by poorly maintained or illegal tyres. From our groundbreaking research, including the 2023 Tread Depth Survey and Post Collision Study, to our targeted regional campaigns, TyreSafe has set the standard for driving awareness and behavioural change among drivers, policymakers, and organisations. Our collaborative efforts with more than 130 partners, ranging from governmental bodies to commercial organisations, have amplified our message, ensuring that tyre safety remains central to road safety conversations and actions. TyreSafe Chair Stuart Lovatt said, “This prestigious award reflects the hard work and passion of everyone involved with TyreSafe. We are deeply honoured to receive such a globally recognised accolade, which not only celebrates our past achievements but also inspires us to continue striving toward our goal of zero harm on UK roads. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our partners and supporters – this award belongs to all of us.” |

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Liverpool City Council to champion tyre safety across the region. With 20% of tyres in Liverpool found to be below the legal tread limit, this partnership will ensure that tyre safety becomes an integral part of road safety initiatives in the city. The council have already shown their support by populating digital road signs in high traffic areas of the city with a reminder to drivers about the importance of tyre safety. Watch This Space We’ll soon be releasing a new campaign to support road users during the darker, more treacherous driving conditions that we have come to anticipate during the winter months. The campaign will run throughout November and will include a wealth of resources including social media posts, posters, and a toolkit. We’ll be in touch shortly with a dedicated communication that will include the toolkit and a full overview of the campaign and its objectives. We’d like to once again thank you all for your continued support. Stay safe and keep advocating tyre safety. |
