October is Tyre Safety Month, and is TyreSafe’s flagship campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the critical role tyres play in road safety. With an overarching goal of reducing the number of tyre-related incidents on our roads, Tyre Safety Month has become an annual fixture, bringing attention to the importance of regular tyre maintenance.

drivers and riders to get…

We’ve adopted a fun, engaging and striking superhero theme to make tyre safety not only informative but also entertaining. By incorporating a comic strip approach, the campaign aims to create a positive association with regular tyre checks and motivate motorists to become their own tyre safety heroes.

Campaign objectives

  1. Raise Awareness
    Increase awareness among motorists about the importance of regular tyre checks.
  2. Promote Positive Behaviour
    Encourage motorists to adopt a habit of performing the three key tyre checks. Air Pressure, Condition, and Tread (A.C.T.) every month and before long journeys.
  3. Engage and Educate
    Use a fun and interactive superhero-themed approach to engage and educate a wide range of motorists, emphasising the importance of tyre safety.
  4. Community Involvement
    Showcase real-life “tyre safety heroes” on social media who have actively promoted and practised tyre safety.

About

The A.C.T. acronym lies at the heart of TyreSafe’s commitment to road safety, and is used across our campaigns for continuity and consistency.

“A” stands for Air Pressure,
emphasising the importance of keeping tyres adequately inflated to ensure optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
“C” represents Condition,
urging motorists to regularly inspect their tyres for any visible signs of damage, bulges, or cuts that might compromise safety.
Finally, “T” signifies Tread,
stressing the necessity of maintaining sufficient tread depth for effective grip and braking.
Together, these three checks form the basis of proactive tyre maintenance, empowering drivers to take charge of their safety on the road and reinforcing the message that getting “Caught in the A.C.T.” every month is a superheroic commitment to road safety.

A comprehensive schedule outlining daily or weekly posts with engaging content, challenges, and shout-outs to individuals or groups who have embraced tyre safety.

Video Assets
Short videos featuring animated comic strips, testimonials from tyre safety heroes, and instructional clips on the A.C.T. checks. These are shareable across social media and can also be integrated into workshops or events.

Downloadable Posters for Garages
Customisable posters for garages to promote free tyre checks, encouraging them to actively participate in spreading the campaign’s message.
