Rob Charlton is CEO of Space Group which includes Space Architects, BIMTechnologies, bimstore, Campus and Volula. He is also instrumental in establishing BIMShowLive and BIMcrunch.com.

Rob is passionate about improving value and performance of buildings and how technology can be utilised positively in design, construction and operation.

Rob has over 20 years’ experience as an architect and brings knowledge and experience to the strategic direction of each business within the group.

He became interested in 3D parametric software in the late 1990s and helped Space Architects become one of the first architectural practices in the UK to work solely in 3D.

Session Synopsis

Rob will discuss contemporary approaches to ageing communities referencing a range of examples from around the world.

He will then challenge engineered approaches, reviewing existing environments and how they can adapt to become lifetime communities.
