Dr Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic is a psychologist, author and entrepreneur. Tomas uses science and tech to help organisations predict human performance. He has written 10 books, which include: Why do so many incompetent men become leaders? (and how to fix this), The Talent Delusion, and Confidence: The surprising truth about how much you need and how to get it. He has also written over 150 scientific papers on the psychology of talent, leadership, innovation and AI. Tomas has also written articles for the HBR, The Guardian, Forbes and Fast Company, just to name a few! Tomas has made over 100 media appearances, and has shared his ideas on TED, CNN and the BBC. He is also a keynote speaker for the Institute of Economic Affairs.
His commercial work focuses on the creation of science-based tools that improve organisations’ ability to predict performance, and people’s ability to understand themselves. Tomas’s expertise covers 2 areas in applied psychology: business psychology and consumer psychology. Some of the clients he has worked with ar, BBC, Google, RedBull, Unilever, Samsung, British Army and Walmart.
Tomas was born and raised in the Villa Freud district of Buenos Aires, but has spent most of his professional career in London, and now lives in Brooklyn! He is currently the Chief Talent Scientist at ManpowerGroup, co-founder of Deeper Signals and Metaprofiling, and Professor of Business Psychology at University College London and Columbia University.
