Session Synopsis
L&D’s new way of working: faster, smarter, more strategic
Donald H Taylor, chair, Learning and Performance Institute
Are you ready for change? The way people work today is shifting, and organisations now demand Learning and Development (L&D) departments deliver faster. The problem: too often they want new results with old methods, and treat L&D as a delivery service, producing courses to order.
The good news: there is a different way. Drawing on research including his L&D Global Sentiment Survey, Donald H Taylor will explore how it is possible to change L&D to work smarter. Partly this means using technology, but mostly it involves L&D working in new ways, and changing minds – of executives, employees, and of L&D practitioners themselves.
- Why learning matters more than ever today
- Rising to the challenge: a new model for L&D
- New technologies – separating high-impact from pure hype
- Why L&D is finally understanding, and using the power of data
- Your key players: managers, employees, and your new L&D team
