In 2018, PCL developed a unique, mobile tyre inflation solution for one of the largest fire and rescue services in the country, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service (ECFRS), who required a solution that would enable its fleet operators to inflate fire engine tyres up to the required psi, often 130psi or above, quickly, safely and efficiently.
After successfully developing the FireCart, PCL won multiple awards including Tyresafe’s Innovation and Best use of technology award. Since then, PCL’s FireCart has been installed and used by various Fire Services across the UK.
